"Love Heels" Breast Cancer Awareness Quilt

Football players wearing pink, hot pink kitchen products & special edition M&Ms
can only mean 1 thing.... It is October!
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

"Love Heels" is a quilt designed to give comfort and a "heeling" power to those going through this life changing experience.
The fun colors, zebra print, high heel shoes and awareness ribbon motif give hope and an upbeat feeling.  It is backed with pink snuggly-soft cuddle fabric to give comfort and love.

Dana and Diane are the co/founders of My Lazy Daisy and this quilt holds a special place in their heart.  Not only did Dana design the quilt pattern, she also designed the fun high heel themed fabric, Tippy Toes.
This quilt is dedicated and in memory of their mom, Shanna Rae Mathis Durfey, who lost her own battle with cancer at age 51.

My Lazy Daisy has the pattern for 15.95
The quilt top for 129.95
and the complete quilt kit (including backing and binding) for 159.95.
If you are interested in this quilt you can go to
A portion of every kit sold will be donated to cancer research!
This is such an amazing quilt!

Bubble Bubble Toil & Trouble

It is
The Most WOnDErFuL Time of the YEar!
All Hallows Eve!
A few weeks ago I held the fourth annual
WiTCheS' BReW
I was a fun party with AMAZING witches!

Bette was invited and got all dressed up in a witch costume..

The Queen of Halloween flew her broom north for the night.
Whivi(Viv's Witches name)was in attendance and looked FABULOUS!
I was so glad she made it north for the event!

All in all there were about 28 witches...

Plus a few inanimate ones...
The Cheetah-licious witch was the inspiration for my costume.

Margie is not only just a girl... she's just a witch as well.

 There were Ballerina witches.
This pink haired witch might look a little familiar...
It's Vanessa!

 There were neighborhood witches...

School witches...

 Sassy Diva witches...

 Masquerading witches...

 Cute smiling witches...

 Glamour witches...

And amazingly VOGUE witches...

Here is a little collage Margie put together of some of the sights and tastes of the witchy soiree...
It was a fantastic party and I just can't wait for next year's Witches' Brew!
It is my very most favorite part of HaLlOWeEn!
