Why it is good to know people that know people... RBC ROCKS!

This is the man of the hour... RBC! He is the ultimate hook-up for a Las Vegas birthday. ( My birthday just happened to fall on the date that this little adventure was planned...he didn't do it all for my birthday...just a coincidence)
Our first stop was at the Mac counter so all the gals could get all hooched up for a night in Vegas... everyone had fake eyelashes and were looking great!
We started the party off at Tony & Tina's Wedding... a show at the Rio. It was like we were all guests at this big Italian wedding... Russ even hooked us up with a VIP table so we got bubbles and champagne... we traded it up for diet coke and all was well. The cast got wind of that and couldn't get enough of the fact that we were Mormons. By the end of the night Tina's mom said she was now a Mormon. I think Jared converted her...those pics will have to come later.

As we walked out of the wedding... Russ told us our ride was here... He hooked up a stretch Escolade Limo for our riding pleasure for the rest of the night. We were so excited... really a bunch of dorks on Prom Night!

Lots of flashes going inside the Limo... not so many outside. The paparazzi must have been riding with us.

We were even drinking the hard stuff... it was fully stocked with Diet Coke and Cider... Jared wondered if the Cider came from the Dicken's Festival... Mindi posing with the drink of choice.

We were checking out the sunroof...

Caylor even had an i-pod cord and he and Mindi were trying to get the i-pod jammin... no luck. Mindi had made a play list of inside joke songs and favorite sing-alongs. The only part of the night that didn't pan out perfectly!

Kamari and Steve Kemp... Colby and Kristen Cowan- always a good time!

Caylor had his party on face!

The Limo even had roses for the girls...
The one and only limo pose... once in a lifetime!

My man and I at the Wynn
After the Wynn we went to New York, New York to the dueling piano bar. We rocked out there for over an hour ...the people we saw...WOW!
It was such a fun night... good friends, good entertainment, good times!
Thanks to all of our St. George Pals for letting us join in on the party!
You guys really are the best!

On top of the world!

This last weekend we traveled to St. George for a little visit with the fam! Caylor and the boys knew that I was going to be "sistering" ( the activity that happens when I go to St. George and hook up with my sisters and mom and cousins and friends and any other woman that likes to drink Diet Coke, laugh and have a good time) so they decided they were going to do something fun and unique...they went to Zion's National Park to hike Angel's Landing. This is something I am kindof embarrassed to say that I have NEVER done... ( not THAT embarrassed because you didn't see me loading in the car to go with them). Caylor, Mitch, Jacks and my two nephews ( Raycen & Riley) all ventured to the mecca for all people German to hike the mountain. Mitch teased Jacks all the way to St. George that he would be afraid to climb the chain and go to the top...well when they got there- Jacks , Raycen and Caylor climbed the chain while Mitch & Riley kicked back in the safe zone and watched. I was really proud of all the boys for doing it. They had a great time and did something really great! I was also proud of Caylor for taking the boys and getting out of the glitter zone ( we did glitter crafts at Viv's house while the little girls swam). It was a fun weekend all around. I missed out on seeing my friends, but had a great time hanging with the sisters and mom ( that includes my sister-in-law...whom we consider one of the sisters). It was beautiful weather, fun company, and just an all around excellent weekend.

The good times just keep on rollin'...more diet coke, please!

The third installment in the party life of Amy... Sunday morning my cousins, Teisha & Mikell their mom Leslie ( see Bette Midler photos) and my mom, Viv ( who in this picture was totally wasted...just kidding) came to visit for a fun girls trip. I made them work like dogs helping me get ready for the luau, but after that we partied like rockstars! When they got here I had cups all glittered and made so we could really drink in style! ( Thanks Tonia for the great idea)Monday we shopped and laughed and bought and laughed and drank diet coke and laughed and laughed some more. Did I mention that we laughed a little? I think we were a little silly because on Sunday we stayed at the luau until midnight then came home to laugh until about 2:30 am. We were sad Mama Mia wasn't out yet so instead we went shopping some more and then ate at P.F. Chang's and really laughed there because we were all so tired. Monday night the old broads ( Viv & Les) were too tired so they went to bed about 11:00, but we youngins stayed up until 3:45 laughing some more. Teish and Mik had to go home on Tuesday afternoon for a birthday of one of their kids... but before they left we went to IKEA to buy storage and organization gear. Mikell & Teisha are sooo organized- infact they are thinking about starting up a business where they will come in and organize your house. Wouldn't that be sweet? They inspired me and told me how to get the job done so I am now on a mission! Viv and Les stayed until Wednesday. We watched Hairspray and had such a great time. I had soooooo much fun with these babes! All growing up my mom and Leslie were best friends ( Plus Leslie is my dad's 1st cousin) . We went on every trip together...plus Teisha and I were inseparable until we both got married. I feel bad that since we got married we haven't stayed in touch as much and aren't as close as were once were...but this weekend it seemed like I talked to her every day for the past 16 years. It all comes right back! Teisha is the most hilarious girl I have EVER known. We were roommates for a while in college ( until the season changed and we wanted to buy spring clothes instead of rent) and it was one of the best times of my life! She is crazy, funny, sweet, and as you can see...BEAUTIFUL! She has got it all! Mikell is older than we are and she is just as rockin'. I am so lucky to have such great friends that just happen to be family... it makes it really great because we can all laugh at the same goofy family members. I know this post is waaaaay to long...but I wanted to document what a rockstar few days I have just had! They are the best and I had the time of my life... I hope they come back soon!

...And I am not that old!

There once was an old woman who lived in a shoe.... You know the rest of the rhyme! This past weekend was a little crazy- I had 11 kids at my house. Our great friends, The Kemps, were in town and they have 4 kids...my three kiddos, my nephew came to visit, and then my mom had to bring me the rest of the grandkids she was supposed to be tending, but due to the sad situation with the Petersen/Newbys she had to ditch. 11 children! I had an aunt that had 13 kids...whew! The really good thing was my trusty sister-wife, Kamari was here and we tag teamed the domestic resposibilities. I did not make her pull weeds...this time she had to help with child crowd control. We piligged the heckout of the weekend. We even took them out in public! In separate cars of course...nobody I know owns a 15 passenger van. We went to the movie and even braved Lagoon with 11 kids on a Saturday. CRAZY! It was a fun time... now I am off to the land of milk and honey to return the last 2 children, catch some rays, and have a great time with my sisters. 11 is a crazy amount of kids... It makes the five I've still got seem easy and my own three will be a breeze!
