Valentine Candy Bars...

Last fall my friend Tonia and I were in Park City at a darling little boutique
& saw some specialty giant candy bars.
I was all over them... loved them... until I turned one over and saw the price...$15.00!
I just about died... so I took a mental picture and have been duplicating it for just a few dollars ever since.
They make the greatest little gift or party favor.
Here are my first few for Valentines Day...
A few scrapbook supplies from The Girl's Loft...
A giant candy bar from the grocery store...
a little creativity...
& TA-DA... A Giant Valentine Candy Bar...
XOXO...
I am going to do a Valentines Give-Away...
So leave me a comment with your favorite Valentine idea and I will send you a special
Valentine Box of goodness...
1 comment per person...
Shout me out for one more name in the old Valentine hat...
Happy Day!

THOSE are soooooooooooo cute!!! I bought a heart shaped bunt cake pan last year, and made banana bread in it and then put cream cheese frosting on it, it was a hit!

Do you have my address? I will be waiting.

I had bookmarked this idea too. So cute. I'm sure mine won't be as cute as yours though, so you better send me one. Especially because you want me to get fat.

those candy-bars are SO cute...and I know some boys who would LOVE them!

I love the toast with the heart cut-out egg cooked inside..I made those last year and they were a huge hit! We are a household of breakfast lovers!!

Those are so cute! I may have to do something similiar! As for my favorite valentine idea...I don't know. I have always liked baking and decorating sugar cookies for Valentine's Day.

I forgot to leave you an idea. If Luvpilot's going to be gone, I stick something in his suitcase for him to find once he's in his hotel. I always have to make heart shaped sugar cookies, my boys demand it, and sometimes chocolate dipped strawberries. How did this holiday become all about food?

And Trina is my sister you haven't met. She is the crafty one like you, who I hire to make all my cards and scrapbook pages for me.

(And Kado, my boys love those egg sandwiches!)

At our house we do "heart pillows". This means that from Feb 1-14th if you clean your room, make your bed and put your "heart pillow" on your bed (all before school) mom will leave a little treat in the pocket of the pillow while you are gone. My mom did it when I was little and now I do it for my kids. The biggest/best treat always comes on the last day...Valentine's Day.

That's a great idea! I've got lots of old scrapbook supplies collecting dust- must try that!

I like to make cake bites for V-Day then package them up in cute chocolate boxes.

Tammy at time flies sent me over heeya! and I always do what Tammy tells me to! I love your site. I'm going to put you in my sidebar. I tend to keep up with people better that way than following, but if you would like me to follow you, I can do that too. LOL

I make my own bar wrapper for the small bites and at Christmas time I do my own wrappers with a cute poem.

We leave our shoes out for St. Valentine to come and fill with goodies. I also decorate our dinner table with pink and red and we have a great dinner. I leave chocolate hershey kisses or hugs on their pillows when they wake so that they know that cupid has been by and shot them with love!

We have as many heart shaped objects for Valentine's Day dinner--steaks, french fries, Jell-O, etc.

Head over to my blog to see what I did for my friend for Valentines. It's gonna be a chocolate overdose!
Love your candy bar idea. I'm afraid I'm going to "borrow" the idea.
Such a good idea!

Those are ADORABLE! What a great idea! Of course we hope to win!

At our house for family night we make Valentine Card holders-like the ones you make in grade school- at the begining of Feb and then for the next 2 weeks we put "love" notes in family members holders secretly. Then on Valentines we all open them!

Amy, These are so CUTE! I am so stealing your idea. My friends will be excited to get something other than Reeses this year. Usually I have a cute bag, box etc. full of Reeses Peanut Butter cups and say something like There are so many "reeses" why we love you or why we are glad you are our friends. etc. You get the idea.

We decorate our back door with hearts (your fave!) and write something on them that we love about each other. Usually one per family member goes up each day leading up to Valentine's, so by the big day, our door is covered with {love}!

i am wicked behind in my reading lately, but I came across this one and needed to stop and comment. As the picture first came up and your story started there was no DOUBT in my mind that you would have come up with an awesome, probably looking much better, substitute for the $12.50. You are great!
